We Supply 3LPE Coating
We are actively working on 3LPE coating for pipes. A three-layer coating, sometimes called 3LPE/3LPP, consists of a fusion-bonded epoxy or FBE, an adhesive, and polyethylene or polypropylene. Our 3-layer coating is used in pipelines that carry oil, water, and other fluids. 3LPE and 3LPP coatings help protect pipes from corrosion, provide chemical resistance and significantly extend pipe life. In addition, three-layer PE or PP coated pipes can withstand a wide range of temperatures, from extreme cold to temperatures as high as 80 degrees. Our products are CSA and ISO certified and used by a wide range of pipe manufacturers whose products are used by some of the largest oil and gas companies in the world.

Fusion Bonded Epoxy
FBE powder coating helps improve the corrosion resistance of pipes and is used as the first layer in a 3-layer coating system. A typical application of fusion bonded epoxy usually begins with surface cleaning. The main goal of this stage is to degrease the surface, removing rust and any impurities from the surface of the pipe. After that, the pipes are heated, usually to a temperature of 180 to 240 degrees. The FBE powder is then sprayed onto the pipe, usually using an electrostatic spray method. The charged powder is uniformly coated on the surface of the pipe, and then becomes a solid coating by waste heat or reheating the pipe. FBE powder coatings offer numerous advantages over alternatives, including efficient application and reduced waste.
Copolymer Adhesive
Our copolymer adhesive is an adhesive commonly used as the second layer in 3-layer PE and PP coatings for pipes. According to customer requirements, the product can be supplied in powder or granular form. The main purpose of the adhesive is to bond together the FBE used as a ground coat and the polyethylene or polypropylene used as a topcoat. Our copolymer adhesive can be applied by flat die or crosshead extrusion. The exact extrusion conditions depend on the type of equipment used and the size of the pipe. The typical thickness of the adhesive is 0.3 mm or more. L-5REN2 has excellent durability and long-term bond strength.
Polyethylene Coating Material
Polyethylene is commonly used as an anti-corrosion material in two- or three-layer coating systems. The HDPE is used as a third coat on pipelines used to carry natural gas, oil or water. Our HDPE is available in powder or granular form, black or other colors upon customer request. This product is compatible with a variety of products, but is recommended for use with our FBE and adhesive.
