What is 3lpe?

Three-layer polyethylene extruded coating is referred to as 3LPE.

The layer that prevents rusting is Layer 1. This layer, which is made of fusion-bonded epoxy resin, provides great corrosion protection. The fusion-bonded epoxy adheres quite well to the steel’s blasted area.

Layer 2: The polymerization adhesive is present here. Maleic anhydride-grafted polyethylene makes up the polymeric glue. This substance adheres chemically well to the fusion-bonded epoxy or the polyethylene top layer.

Layer 3: Made of polyethylene, the third layer serves as a protective border. Polyethylene & copolymer glue adhere well to one another because they are comparable.

The pipe having 3lpe coating has three layers of coatings: the outer polyethylene coat, the middle adhesive coat, and the initial FBE layer. Another recent utilized was created on the 3lpe coating foundation since the 1980s & comprises PE (polyethylene) coatings plus adhesives is 3LPE coated pipe.
The tensile performance, excellent voltage resistance, wearability, and anti-aging qualities of the pipe can all be improved using 3LPE.
